Daily Prayer, Compassion and Comfort

Compassion and Comfort

Our God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. So it is right and just that we would pray to Him seeking those things. Not just for ourselves, but also for others. Just as all believers share in Christ’s suffering, we also share in His great comfort. Are you in need? Don’t forget to pray for someone else facing the same situation. Lift them in prayer and take comfort as God transforms both of your lives! Then rejoice and praise Him together.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

at His feet Daily Prayer

Lord, You are my comfort, my strength and my defender. Hear my plea to You. You know my situation and my need. As I pour out my heart to You, help me remember my brothers and sisters around the world who are also in need of Your comfort. Bring to mind my friends, family, neighbors–everyone who You would have me pray for. Equip me to move beyond myself and my needs and remember the needs and sufferings of others. Lord, would You use my current trial to bring mature faith, selfless love, and total trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I would love to pray for you or connect with you. Please leave a comment with a prayer request (or just your name, God knows your need!). It would be my honor and delight to lift you in prayer.

If you enjoy these prayers and are blessed, please share them! You can also find Faith to Soar on facebook, twitter, or pinterest and I hope you will join me online in following Jesus wherever He leads!

Be blessed,
